Over seven million people have came to Bangkok to pay their homage to their beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej in front of the royal urn inside the Grand Palace.
The Bureau of the Royal Household announced today until Sunday a total of 7,034,868 people have paid homage to the late King since His Majesty passed away on October 13 last year.
The Bureau also stated that since His Majesty passed away 193 days ago, donations from the people coming to the Dusit Throne Hall inside the Grand Palace to pay homage, have now reached over 556 million baht.
It said by the closure time of the Palace at 9.00pm of yesterday alone, a total of 25,127 people came to pay homage to the late King.
People continued to arrive at the Palace Monday morning to pay homage.
The Bureau of the Royal Household said the Palace now opens the Dusit Throne Hall to people to pay homage every day, without closure on public holiday.
Opening time is from 5.00am and closes at 9.00pm.
