Independent game developers Andrew and Adam Teo had worked their hearts out to create their game Ghostlore, but they were fraught with worry on launch day, Adam shared in an interview with AsiaOne for the second season of My Gamer Life.
Ghostlore - a retro role-playing game infused with Singaporean elements - was the brainchild of Andrew, who spent five years working on the game before it was launched on May 17, 2023.
"When we launched the game, I had a small party at my place," Adam recalled. "It was quite funny because Andrew was really, really stressed about it."
Partygoers approached him out of concern, but Andrew quickly retreated to his room and locked himself up "the whole night".
Adam laughed: "He was just like, 'Oh my goodness, what if this person hates the game? What if no one likes the game?'
"There was nothing anyone could do to get him out of the room."
