'Don't leave room for regrets'
It's human nature to err — but there's no room for complacency when it comes to being an esports athlete.

That's exactly what Jay "Asphy" Wan was taught when he was a part of Bleed Esports' Rainbow Six Siege (R6) team, the Singaporean shared in an interview with AsiaOne for the second season of My Gamer Life.

R6 is an online tactical shooter video game by Ubisoft that focuses on five-versus-five player-against-player gameplay, where players choose unique heroes with different utilities to take down their enemies or complete their objective.

Jay worked alongside Bleed's esports general manager Jeremy "HysteRiX" Tan, who is in charge of the R6 team based in Singapore.

Jeremy shared that it feels fulfilling to mentor players — Jay included — and guide them to the right path.

"But at the same time, it's stressful as well because they're kind of entrusting you with their careers," he said.

"I don't really want them to waste time on things that they'll regret eventually, so the main thing I always preach to them is to take practice seriously," he added.
